MY BIGGEST DREAM...

By Mauro Marturano

...is that one day we'd wake up and a huge share of the population would go to the European Parliament saying: "You want our savings? How much? Is 80% enough? Or do you want more?"

Whoever has truly understood my writing (no more than 3% of readers, and I'm sure I'm being extraordinarily optimistic) has understood that we can't do anything with our savings, because our savings are backed by nothing.

And so, before Brussels' clowns prove it to us, before they justify it through further political/economic/military suicides, it would be wonderful if a large share of the population showed up in Brussels, maybe wearing a t-shirt that says, even hand-written, CORRALITOCOMING, and showed these pigs that we've understood where they want to take us, but that we're capable of going on our own.

It's the most utopian situation possible in the world, because it would mean... that faith in money has collapsed.

It would mean being a population with balls, a population that has understood the first great illusion of our lives (money), a population capable of deciding where to go and how to get there, a population capable of playing the game of life without a shepherd keeping us on a leash — first of all through relentless propaganda, a ridiculous education and schooling system, and trash media only capable of filling our heads with chatter and manipulation.

It is, as I said, a dream. Just a dream.

But the fundamental point to understand is that, whether we handed over our savings or they took them from us, the result would be the same.

But, in the first case, we'd have shown a dignity and a way of seeing life that would give good prospects for the future.

A dream, I repeat.
