WHY CUBA WAS A SOCIAL EXPERIMENT

By Mauro Marturano

I often talk about Cuba. I have for years. I talk about it because I saw in Cuba our distant past. And because I see in Cuba our future — not such a distant one. 😁

As always, I recommend taking 2 minutes to read this. And maybe another 2 minutes to read it again. 😂 With all the bullshitters you listen to and all the time you waste listening to them, surely these 4 minutes won't be what you're missing. 😁

The present we are living through, and above all the future we will live through, is lived today and will be lived tomorrow, but it certainly isn't written today or tomorrow. This is difficult for many of you to accept, because it makes you feel small in the face of history.

Let me tell you a secret: we are.

Someone has decided for us. Unless... WE UNDERSTAND IT.

Once you understand it, your horizons change. And an ordinary life becomes the writing of a legend: your own legend.

My wish for all of you is to take this journey of awareness and write your own legend.

Power knew perfectly well that we would arrive at where we are today. At a point where the base of the social pyramid (ALL OF US) has become too broad, and therefore difficult to manage.

And how do you manage a pyramid?

For example, through control of resources.

If there is one country where control over resources has been relentless, that country is undoubtedly Cuba.

While in other countries — many African countries come to mind, as well as Venezuela and Argentina — the Western desire was to plunder, I don't think that is what happened in Cuba.

Cuba, and you can see it perfectly well when flying over the island or travelling around it, does not have mass-scale agriculture. So I cannot say that multinational corporations came here to plunder it.

So what happened?

Well, if you think about it, the concept is even more macabre.

They used this people for an EXPERIMENT: how to make a population live in a state of perpetual scarcity.

As if they wanted to understand how a population reacts to scarcity and to total control by a centralised state.

When I wrote “OUR CUBA” two years ago, there was no sign whatsoever of the energy war, just as there was no sign that we would face what I consider an inevitable war with China — a war that will mark the end of mass international trade, the system that has brought us everything, immediately and cheaply.

A war that I consider inevitable precisely because it is necessary to bring a very long cycle to an end. Necessary, therefore, inevitable.

But let's go back to the question: how do you manage a pyramid?

A second method is called TECHNOLOGY.

In Cuba there is a shortage of water, energy and gasoline — yesterday I spent two hours looking for a gas station that actually had gasoline — there is a shortage of everything, but now everyone has a mobile phone.

Obviously, when the people do something they are not supposed to do, the government shuts down the internet, and that's that.

We will see this in our own countries too, apparently less “banana republic-like,” but children of the same mother.

A third way of managing a pyramid is PROPAGANDA.

While in Cuba it has always been one-sided, here it is much more subtle: we have always lived in a fake democracy, with dissent that is absolutely CONTROLLED.
