NOT JUST AN ECONOMIST, NOT JUST A PHILOSOPHER

By Mauro Marturano

But also a historian πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

This is a wonderful journey I'm on. A journey as a SOVEREIGN man, intellectually speaking. As much of a moron in the practicalities of life as I am great in the ability to read things, cross-reference them and arrive at conclusions... magical ones.

I'll start with a question: what the hell is the point of studying history, if that study doesn't help us read present situations and, therefore, future consequences?

I've told you repeatedly about the Argentine corralito of 2001. I've told you repeatedly about the need for something similar in Europe (I think within a year from today, August 14, 2026).

Something similar that must NECESSARILY have a triggering event as justification (I'm thinking of a problem at a nuclear plant).

Today I'll also tell you about the Soviet corralito, which happened after the fall of the Soviet Union.

As you can see, these things repeat periodically throughout history, whenever a country needs to be mowed down (destroying the rights of that country's citizens and, possibly, stealing their resources).

In 1991 it was the Soviet Union's turn.

In 1991 I was still almost a baby.

To me the causes, no matter what anyone thinks or says, are always the ones I write about, and specifically the ones I wrote above in parentheses.

As in the Argentine case... the result of the fall of the Soviet Union was a destruction of the currency's value.

Which is exactly what I expect here, or rather there πŸ˜‚.

Maybe not on this scale (1 to 1000).

But what if it were 1 to 8?

Or even "just" 1 to 5?

That is... it seems... it seems πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚... that, for the sake of the system's own survival, something needs to blow up every once in a while πŸ˜‚.

Some call this phenomenon, of recurring crises, "CAPITALISM".

I call this phenomenon by its real name: "NECESSARY CONSEQUENCES OF THE SYSTEM - FIAT MONEY".

Fiat money that NEEDS recurring crises to restore balances that keep getting lost, as the money printer runs more (as in our case) or as resources need to be stolen (as in the Russian case and the Argentine case) so that the money created by OUR PRINTER has an UNDERLYING ASSET, a COLLATERAL.

Without collateral there's no trust, and without trust, everything collapses, with the risk of truly ending up in the law of the jungle.

But let's get to the solutions πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, a topic I need to tackle with even more clarity than what already sets me apart πŸ˜‚.

Because many, so many of you write to me saying I don't offer solutions πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

But is that really true?

Or maybe the solutions I put in front of you aren't suited to your inflexibility/inability to adapt?

Two very simple questions:

  1. But if a Soviet citizen, in 1991, had known what was about to happen, what SHOULD they have DONE with their savings, or part of their savings?

  2. But if an Argentinian, in 2001, had known what was about to happen, what SHOULD they have DONE with their savings, or part of their savings?

Answer that for yourselves πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜
