THE TRUTH IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR EYES
By Mauro Marturano

Not only a mathematician. Not only an economist. Not only a philosopher. But also an optician ๐๐๐
Your optician ๐๐๐๐๐๐.
Let me start with a premise: if someone thinks about these things, understands them, and has internalized them, they shouldn't get offended when they read stuff written for "the blind." Because he/she/it ๐ knows that they know, and so they're not one of the blind.
So why get offended?
If, on the other hand, someone doesn't know these things, doesn't understand them, or hasn't internalized them, they still shouldn't get angry if they get called blind. They should actually be thankful if someone ๐๐๐ sent me ๐๐๐ to show them certain truths ๐๐๐๐๐.
Truths that, as I said, are right in front of our eyes.
But you need better lenses than the ones you were given ๐๐๐.
So, if anything, get angry with whoever gave you those first ๐๐๐, not with me ๐๐๐.
When I show up in the kitchen, whoever's there โ from Fra to Paoletta, from mom Gio to dad Raffaele, and probably even little Vero โ I can sense a certain awkwardness in them.
And I, understanding my limits, don't get pissed off about it ๐๐๐๐.
A lot of you do ๐๐๐.
Mystery of faith ๐๐๐.
Yesterday the Corriere della Sera ["Evening Courier," here mockingly rendered as the "Evening Chainsaw"] wrote something that a lot of you probably just skimmed past with your eyes, without giving the slightest thought to the consequences.
If you're one of those, as I wrote above, no point getting mad at me ๐๐๐.
Get mad at whoever came before ๐๐๐ and didn't give you the right lenses.
The Corriere della Sera talks about something important, obviously in a manipulative way โ you can read why in yesterday's Gospel verse, Ito 7:5 ๐๐๐.
Obviously I recommend rereading 8:5, 9:5, 10:5, and if possible 22:5 as well.
But it does state a truth.
Or rather: a half-truth.
And in this period of lean cows (and tramps ๐๐๐) in terms of information, even half-truths will do.
But let's get to the point โ sometimes I get lost in the preambles ๐.
The Corriere della Sera writes that global debt is about three times GDP.
Holy hell ๐๐๐.
No, kidding: gross domestic product ๐.
And how the hell is that possible?
How the hell is it possible that the amount of "paper" is three times the amount of real GDP? ๐๐๐
Eh ๐๐๐...
You can read the reasons in my 8,945 pieces on the subject.
Why did I call it a half-truth?
Because within the calculation of real GDP, in truth, there are a huge number of SERVICE entries.
Meaning: inside that real GDP, in fact, there's still a lot of paper.
Paper that, however, exploits physical goods.
That's why Ito told you about 39 fake pairs of underwear in circulation for every real pair.
Under the "services" heading you'll find, for example, IT services, insurance, banking, tourism, and so on.
All situations very, very far removed from real production.
And so that 3-to-1 ratio is only true if we also count entries that have little or nothing real about them.
With that, I bid you farewell and wish you a wonderful weekend.
There's always hope of seeing better.
Especially if you're dealing...
with the best optician around. ๐๐๐
