THE IMPORTANCE OF UNDERSTANDING MATH

By Mauro Marturano

If I were to consider as representative charts of this historical moment the one for gold, the one for US debt (though I could also take the Chinese one), and the one for the S&P 500, math says UNEQUIVOCALLY that these are 3 exponential functions.

But what's the meaning of an exponential function?

One possible philosophical synthesis is that the exponential function represents the principle by which reality can evolve cumulatively: every state contains the force to generate the next one, producing growth that outpaces linear intuition and shows how time turns the small into the immense.

From another general perspective, the exponential function can be seen as the symbol of becoming: reality doesn't always change in a linear, predictable way, but often accelerates, giving rise to sudden and profound transformations.

From a purely monetary point of view, 3 charts like these can only mean one thing: that money is losing value faster and faster.

In the presence of these conditions, absolutely easy to understand, the average moron thinks in terms of stability, in terms of a stable future, in terms of pensions, in terms of the rule of law working forever.

Things that clash, entirely and completely, with the speed, with the explosiveness, of the exponential function.

They've worked so hard to make sure we don't have good math teachers that even embarrassingly simple things aren't clear.

Look at the last chart, the one Ito made 🤣.

If that represented your state of health, what would you do?

I think the only thing to do would be to go get laid 😂, because there's no more hope left.

So then why, if the trend regarding the economic-financial factors is exactly the same, does anyone, for instance, still think about their pension?

About stability?

Then someone really is right when they say people tell themselves bullshit to protect themselves.

But is it a life worth living, filling your head with chatter instead of growing up?
